Enjoy nature

From 21st June until 18th September, all guests of the Bergaktiv member accommodations can participate in our program free of charge. Come rain or shine, we do three guided hikes a day! We offer a varied program, seeking balance between exercise, relaxation and healthy nutrition.
Please wear hiking boots for all tours. The rental shops in town can provide you with bikes, boots, rain wear, backpacks and telescopic poles.

Easy hike

Beautiful and easy hike to Wimmertalalm. You will receive a heart rate monitor from us and will get to know your optimal hiking pace. Charges for heart rate € 2, -.

Moderate hike (middle)

Krimmler Waterfall

to the Hölzlahneralm

Total duration: approx. 6 hours
Total Walking time: approx. 4,5 hours; Car

This hike starts from Krimml, so please organise your own transportation. We start our walk from the parking lot and we follow an old trail, called Tauernweg. This path leads us into the Krimmler Achental valley. After a break at the Hölzlahneralm, we´ll head back to our starting point after some sightseeing at the world famous Krimmler waterfall. (Please note you´ll have to pay toll: 9 euro per car for a day ticket)
Please organise your own transportation to the meeting point.



5 Different abseiling-spots, jumps into bubbling pools and different climbing passages await in the Schwarzach canyon.

Nordic Walking

The dynamic way of walking

Get to know this dynamic way of walking with our qualified Nordic walking guide. Because you use specially designed carbon poles, you also work your upper body so it is a complete body workout. This activity is also suited for beginners. Running or light weight hiking shoes are recommended. (Please note there is a 3 Euro additional charge for the poles)

You will get to know Gerlos and it´s surroundings from a local´s point of view. Get an insight into this lovely little town and it´s mountain character through pictures, movies and typical music.
